Born in Barcelona in 1941, he stands out both in the academic world as a Doctor of Law and in business. Since 2014 he has been president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, a public law corporation whose purpose is the representation, promotion and defence of the general interests of companies.

Francisco Martínez Arroyo

Agricultural Engineer from the Higher Technical School of Agricultural Engineers of the UP of Madrid. Since 2015 he has been Minister of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development of Castilla-La Mancha. He is an official of the Agricultural Engineers Corps from the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. He is an advisor to Minister Elena Espinosa and has worked at the Permanent Representation of Spain in the European Union, in Brussels, and at the FAO, in Rome. He holds the presidency of the Castilla-La Mancha Tierra de Viñedos Foundation and the Mediterranean Diet Foundation.

José Luis García-Palacios Alvarez

Agricultural Technical Engineer from the University of Huelva (UHU), he has a Master's Degree in Senior Management of Agricultural Companies from the ETSIAM and ETEA of the University of Córdoba. Likewise, he is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Businessmen of Andalusia (CEA).

Bisila Bokoko

Bisila Bokoko is Spanish, of African parents, and American by adoption, a citizen of the world and multifaceted. Her studies in International Relations (The City College, NY) and Law (CEU) make Bisila a defender of honest international alliances based on universal values such as peace, ethics and respect. "Global ambassador" and business mentor, she is considered one of the ten most influential Spanish women in the American business world. She is the founder and CEO of BBES, a New York-based business development agency that represents, promotes, and markets brands internationally. She was the executive director of the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce. She leads the African Literacy Project, an international non-profit organization whose mission is to promote literacy among African peoples through libraries. She was named “Citizen of the World” by the United Nations in 2019.

Juan Verde

Juan Verde es un reconocido estratega internacional para el sector privado y público. Como profesional, diseña soluciones innovadoras para atraer inversiones extranjeras, establecer alianzas estratégicas y se especializa en economía sostenible. Sergio Gutiérrez Ponce

Sergio Gutiérrez is Corporate Director of AgroBank at CaixaBank. He has a Business Administration and Management degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, an MBA from IESE Business School and a Digital Business Executive from ISDI. With more than 20 years of experience in Banking, he has held different positions of responsibility such as Territorial Commercial Director, Corporate Director of Marketing, Business Intelligence and Digital Banking at Bankia. In 2020 he joined CaixaBank leading the business, strategy and value proposition of AgroBank, a division specializing in the agri-food sector of CaixaBank. Along with this, in 2021 he incorporates AgroBankTech into his functions, with the launch of CaixaBank's aggrotech innovation and digitization ecosystem.

Raúl Lorenzo González

Raúl Lorenzo is a Telecommunications Engineer from the University of Valladolid and has a Master in Business Administration and Management (MBA) from the University of Chicago. Before being elected as Secretary General of AECR, he held the position of organization director of Rural Computer Services (RCS).

José María Mateo Alujas

José Maria Mateo, Tarragona (1960). Graduate and Master in Business Administration from ESADE and GMP from IESE. He has developed his professional career at Cargill where he became president of Spain and Portugal. He has had different responsibilities in businesses such as oilseeds, cereal, malt, starch and glucose trading in Spain, England, France, Holland and Mexico. He is part of the Advisory Board of Panda Agriculture and Water Fund, among other activities.

Plinio Nastari

Dr. Nastari has an M.Sc. and Ph.D., in Agricultural Economics, Iowa State University. Phi Kappa Phi (1983), Gamma Sigma Delta (1983). He was a Professor of Economics at FGV – Getúlio Vargas Foundation, in São Paulo, in undergraduate and postgraduate courses (MBA, Masters and Doctorate) from 1984 to 2001. Member of PAPSAC, Public and Private Group, Scientific, Academic and Consumption of Food Policy Group, from Harvard University, in Boston, since 2012.

Tassos Haniotis

Tassos Haniotis retired last year after a 33-year career at the Commission, his last position being Director of Strategy and Policy Analysis at the European Commission's Directorate General for Agriculture. Previously, he held positions as Head of Unit in the Agricultural Policy Analysis and Perspectives Unit and in the Agricultural Trade Policy Analysis Unit in the same Directorate General, as a Member and later as Deputy Head of the Cabinet of the former European Commissioner for Agriculture Franz Fischler (with respective responsibilities for the preparation of the 2003 reform of the Common Agricultural Policy, and the agricultural chapter of the Doha Round of the WTO and the EU-Mercosur negotiations), and as Agricultural Counsellor of the Delegation of the European Commission in United States. He has a Ph.D. and MS degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Georgia, USA, and a B.A. in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business, in his native country of Greece.

Ignacio Marcos Flores

Ignacio is a senior partner at McKinsey & Company Madrid, a Firm for which he has been working for more than 16 years. At the Firm's global level, he leads the group dedicated to Sustainability in Consumption, Purchasing, Fashion and Luxury. In addition to being the Director of Consumption in the Iberia region. He has primarily led large transformation operations for multinational companies and medium-sized companies in Europe, the United States and Africa. Before joining McKinsey, Ignacio was a consultant for IBM. In addition, he is an industrial engineer, for the Polytechnic University of Madrid and UGA (Grenoble, France), with an MBA from INSEAD. He is currently leading GSG programs with leading companies. These are projects that include the development of new business markets for the food sector.

Héctor Barbarin

Héctor Barbarin Requetibate has been the general director of CNTA since 2009. At this stage, the technology centre has gone from 173 to 410 associated companies and has multiplied its size by 3, in addition to positioning itself as a clear national benchmark in supporting the competitiveness of the agri-food sector. In 2007 he joined CNTA as deputy to the general manager. Currently, he participates as a member of the board of ADITECH, a member of the governing council of the FOOD FOR LIFE SPAIN Technology Platform, president of the NUCAPS Board of Directors and president of NULAB and APD Navarra.

Luis Carlos Moro González

Carlos Moro is the Founder and President of Bodegas Familiares Matarromera. With more than 30 years of experience in the wine industry, he has led the company turning its 11 wineries into 7 Denominations of Origin, into benchmarks for high-quality wines. Throughout his career, he has received various awards and recognitions, not only for his work at the head of the company he chairs but also for his commitment to innovation and sustainability in the wine industry. This trajectory and his professional and personal values have led him to be an influential and prestigious figure in the world of wine.

Jesús Barranco Martín

Elisa Plumed Lucas

Periodista especializada en agricultura y alimentación, ya que desde 1997 informa sobre dicho sector. Aunque su trayectoria se ha centrado en la prensa escrita, posee experiencia en televisión, radio, pódcast, redes sociales y moderación de eventos. Actualmente es profesional autónoma, dedicada más a la comunicación que al periodismo. Desde 2017 coordina el Curso de Experto en Comunicación Agroalimentaria y en 2020 fue elegida presidenta de APAE.

Joan Simó Cruanyes

Deputy Head of Unit at the European Commission (since 2016). He has worked on the design and negotiation of the latest reforms of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and on the implementation of the European Green Pact and the Farm to Fork Strategy. Previously, he was the manager responsible for rural development programs (2006-2011) and socioeconomic analyst (2011-2016) at the European Commission. Graduate and Master in Political Science and Administration (UAB) a and Master of Science from the London School of Economics.

José Miguel Mulet

JM Mulet has a degree in chemistry and a doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Valencia. He is a professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and directs a line of research at the Institute of Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology, a joint CSIC and UPV centre of which he is also vice-director.

Mercedes Iborra Broseta

Mercedes Iborra, third generation of farmers and Agronomist from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 1997. In 2012 she expanded her training as a businesswoman with the ECLA in Business Excellence program from Columbia University NY. In 2014 she founded visualNACert with her sister Lucía, a technology company that was born with the objective of digitizing agriculture.

Patricia Fernández de Arroyabe Guzmán

Co-founder and Managing Partner of Eatable Adventures, one of the top three global agrifood tech accelerators. Eatable Adventures detects, promotes and invests in the most disruptive startups that promise a relevant impact in the agri-food value chain. Mila has a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and she completed her education with a General Management Program from IESE Business School. During her more than 20 years in the industry, Mila has developed her professional career in Marketing and Communication, providing clients with an innovative approach based on the brand experience of consumers. A serial entrepreneur, she founded Eatable Adventures 6 years ago, and since then building a strong global ecosystem of food tech entrepreneurship, supporting innovation in the sector with operations on four continents.

Gloria Martí de la Llave

Gloria Marti de la Llave has been responsible for the environment of the Freixenet Group for 25 years and currently, since last year, she also holds the position of responsibility for sustainability. Gloria combines her day-to-day at Freixenet with the Presidency of ENVICAB (the association of environmental technicians of the Catalan food industry) and is part of the circular economy working group of the Chamber of Spain and FIAB (the Federation of food and drinks).

Amparo de San José Riestra

She is currently the Manager of the Entrepreneurship Program at EIT Food. She was previously the director of the Business Angels Network and Entrepreneurship activities at the IESE Business School in Madrid. She likes to pursue research on start-up financing, venture capital, and entrepreneurship with various papers and published articles. She has a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Oviedo and a Master's in European Politics. Early in her career, Amparo worked at international organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank. She is a member of the Board of the European Trade Association for Business Angels (EBAN).

José Segura Clavell

Nacido el 4 de julio de 1944 en Barcelona, está casado y tiene 3 hijos. Es Doctor en Ciencias Químicas, catedrático de Termodinámica en la Escuela Oficial de Náutica de Tenerife y profesor titular de Física Aplicada en la Universidad de La Laguna. Militante en el Partido Socialista, fue consejero del Cabildo de Tenerife de 1979 a 1991, y presidente de 1983 a 1987. En 1989 fue elegido senador por la isla de Tenerife, cargo que simultaneó de 1991 a 1993 con el de alcalde de San Cristóbal de La Laguna. Entre 1993 y 1996, ejerció nuevamente como senador. En 1996, fue elegido diputado por la provincia de Santa Cruz de Tenerife hasta que, en 2004, dimitió del Congreso para ejercer el cargo de delegado del Gobierno en Canarias hasta 2008. Ha sido reconocido con la Medalla de Oro de la isla de Tenerife, la Cruz de plata al mérito de la Guardia Civil y la Gran Cruz de la Orden al Mérito Militar. Autor de libros sobre Termodinámica, inmigración irregular, Registro Especial de Buques, transporte aéreo, cambio climático, reforma eléctrica, plan estratégico de Canarias, etc, así como de 3 volúmenes con sus artículos sobre África redactados desde que fue nombrado director general de Casa África el pasado 18 marzo de 2019.

He has worked in different international companies in the agricultural sector (1986-2000) and has set up a company dedicated to the production and marketing of sweet fruit (1996-2017). He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Catalan Radio and Television Corporation (2000-2003). From 2003 to 2012, he was deputy for the constituency of Lleida in the Parliament of Catalonia, spokesperson for the GP ERC in the Control Commission of the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation and in the Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing Commission. He has also been a speaker of various laws, among which the audio-visual laws of Catalonia and the IRTA law stand out, and vice-president of the Parliament's Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Committee from 2006 to 2010. He has been a deputy of the Vice-Chancellor of the Academic Organization of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and secretary of the Josep Irla President Foundation. He has been a member, among others, of the Teaching Committee of ETSEALL, of the Evaluation and Selection Committee of Professors and Researchers of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the Social Council of the University of Lleida, the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia as well as the Governing Council of the University of Lleida. Luis Porto Rizzo

Luis Porto has held the position of Strategic Advisor of the OAS since June 2015. Previously, he was Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2013-2015), Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (between 2011 and 2013) and President of the Corporation National for the Development of Uruguay of that country (2010-2011). He has worked as a senior consultant at the national level (public organizations and private sector) and internationally. Among other organizations, he has worked for the OAS, the IDB, UNDP, and FES. He has worked as an international consultant in Uruguay, Paraguay, Panama, Honduras, Guatemala, Haiti and for Mercosur. Pedro Bruno Cobo

Miguel Ángel López Mateo

Eliana Bejarano

Eliana Bejarano has been a partner of the Spanish law firm, Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo in international, economic, and digital public law. She was for several years an adviser and official of the Colombian government, holding different positions of legal and political relevance, including the opening of the first diplomatic representation of Colombia in Azerbaijan. She has led several international defence processes for the human rights of the victims of the armed conflict in Colombia. In recent years, she has advised different governments and companies on their internationalization and sustainable development policies. Currently, she is CEO of Be.AmaZ, a Latin American biodiversity food company with great social and environmental impact.

Ramón Sentmartí Castañe

Managing Director of PRODECA, a public company of the Government of Catalonia whose mission is to support the marketing and internationalization of Catalan agri-food companies and the promotion of Catalan products and gastronomy, associated with the values of the Mediterranean Diet of quality, diversity, and health. I am a specialist in Paediatric Oncology and especially in brain tumours and kidney tumours, who developed my professional career at the Vall Hebron Maternity and Children's Hospital since 1999. Emma Perrier – I do not participate as a professional, but as the mother of a girl who had kidney cancer (nephroblastoma) at the age of 6. Sant Joan de Deu Hospital. I am an industrial engineer and worked in the industrial sector until my eldest daughter's cancer diagnosis (stage 3 nephroblastoma - kidney cancer) when she was 6 years old. My daughter has overcome the disease, but the experience made me rethink my professional career and quit my job. Now I work in the Obra Social del Hospital Sant Joan de Deu and I dedicate myself to fundraising, mainly to finance research on childhood cancer.

Ishtar Espejo

Luis Miguel Calabozo Morán

For almost 20 years, he has been the General Director of the National Federation of Dairy Industries (FeNIL), an entity that brings together more than 60 companies from all over Spain, which transform around 95% of cow, sheep, and goat milk that is produced in our country. During this time, he has developed different responsibilities in the dairy sector, such as the presidency of the Interprofessional Láctea INLA from 2008 to 2010 or the current representation of the European Dairy Association (EDA) in the Civil Dialogue Groups of the European Commission. Dolores Corella Piquer

Dolores Corella, is Full Professor of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the School of Medicine at the University of Valencia and CIBEROBN, Spain. She focused her research on the study of gene-diet interactions, contributing to the development of nutritional genomics. Currently she is working on the multi-omics integration (genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, exposomics, metabolomics, etc.) in the investigation of gene-environment interactions, in general, and in the Mediterranean diet in particular for precision health. She has published more than 500 articles and is incorporating the gender perspective into her research.
